The Oconee County Sheriff's Office is conducting a death investigation after a body was discovered near Westminster Saturday morning.
Dispatchers got a call around 8:19 a.m. from hunters, in regards to a decomposed body that was discovered in some woods at the end of Rufus Land Road near Jenkins Bridge Road.
The manner and cause of death, as well as the name and sex of the victim, will be released at a later time by the Coroner's Office.
The Oconee County Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation.
