An inmate death has been reported from the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office reports that a 36-year-old man was pronounced dead just after 5:30 on Saturday, August 20th.
The man was an inmate being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center, and the corner's office was called in following the death alongside SLED and the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office.
According to officials, foul play is not currently suspected in the inmate's death, and the investigation is still ongoing.
An autopsy was performed on Monday, but the coroner's office says the results are still pending.
