The search is on for a suspect who escaped from an Upstate jail. Officials at the Union County Detention Center say 22 year old, Yasin Amare Razil Richardson escaped just before 230 AM Wednesday morning.

Richardson was being held there after being arrested last September on two counts of burglary and petty larceny.
This marks the 2nd escpae from that same facility in the last five months. As we previously reported, 44 year old David Paul Strickland escaped from there in October of last year. He was located and taken back into custody, after being on the run for about a week.
The Union County Sheriff's Office and other agencies have been actively searching for Richardson since his escape was reported.
