A death investigation is underway in Anderson County after a decomposed body was found in a small creek by two people walking in the area of A Street.
The body, believed to be that of a woman, has not been identified due to the advanced state of decomposition. The cause and manner of death are also still unknown.
The coroner's office and Anderson Police Department are investigating.
