A Highway Patrol special investigations team is joining Greenville County deputies trying to solve the Saturday morning murder mystery at a Pelham Road apartment complex. The body of 29-year-old Michael Darius Allen was found in a parking of the Ashton Woods Apartments. He had been shot several times.
The gunfire had been reported a few minutes before 5:00 a.m. "MAIT," The Highway Patrol's Multi-Disciplinary Accident Investigation Team, will examine evidence that might lead to a vehicle description. Some residents say they've been concerned about suspicious traffic in the complex since the security gate at the main entrance stopped working.
