Airport officials have confirmed that the passenger jet involved in a deadly collision with a Blackhawk Helicopter in Washington, DC was at GSP earlier Wednesday.
Online flight tracking shows the jet landed at GSP Tuesday night and took off from GSP around 7:30 Wednesday morning. The aircraft made multiple flights between Cleveland and Washington, then to Wichita.
It was on its way back to D.C. when the crash happened. More than 60 people were killed in the incident, which makes it the deadliest aviation disaster in the U.S. since September 11th of 2001.
