Justice Still Pending in Decades Old ACSO Case

Some cases go cold for decades — buried in silence, waiting. But all it takes is one breakthrough: a strand of DNA, a forgotten clue, a whisper of truth — to bring justice back to life.

In 2001, Jennifer Lawson unknowingly ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

She was attending a house party at a home on Camelot Forest Drive in Belton when a bullet — fired from outside — tore through the walls and struck her. An innocent victim of a violent act that stole the 29 year old's life.

Now, 24 years later, detectives with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office are still searching for answers. Lawson’s life was cut short in a senseless tragedy, and her case remains unsolved.

Detectives believe even the smallest detail could be the key to solving this case. Anyone with information is urged to come forward so justice can finally be served in Jennifer Lawson’s murder.
