A juvenile is in custody after an armed robbery Monday night in Western North Carolina. The Asheville Police Department responded to a retail store in the 800 block of Tunnel Road just before 7:30 PM.
An employee reported that a suspect came in, pulled a gun and stole merchandise before fleeing on foot.
The juvenile was later arrested in a traffic stop and was found with a handgun and stolen merchandise. The juvenile is charged with armed robbery and a weapons violation.
