A suspect wanted after a domestic violence incident in the Upstate last week, is now in custody after an extensive search. The manhunt for William Jason Nesbitt led to multiple schools in Spartanburg County being placed on lockdown, Tuesday.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office says Nesbitt was spotted but ran from deputies into a wooded area. The search lasted hours and prompted Mountain View Prep, Spartanburg Christian Academy and Hendrix Elementary were all placed on lockdown during the search.
Nesbitt was taken into custody around 4PM, yesterday afternoon. He was wanted after a domestic violence incident, last week. Nesbitt was charged with kidnapping, aggravated domestic violence and petit larceny from that incident. There's been no word yet on whether he will face additional charges from yesterday's incident.
