Alcohol is believed to be a major contributing factor in arrests and ejections surrounding Clemson Football's home opener this past weekend. The game vs LSU was the 1st time fans were able to buy alcohol inside Memorial Stadium.
A dozen people were arrested in Tiger Town on game day and a multitude of others were ejected from the stadium. At their meeting this week, the Clemson City Council asked the Chief Of Police if there were more issues due to alcohol sales inside the stadium?
He was unable to give a clear answer, stating it's impossible to tell whether people were getting drunk at the game or at tailgate spots and then going inside the stadium.
