A fugitive is behind bars in Greenville County following a three-hour SWAT team standoff standoff at a Spartanburg County hotel Wednesday morning.
The call for backup came in just before 4:00 a.m. when a man deputies were sent to pick up on an arrest warrant barricaded himself in his room.
Surrounding units were evacuated at the Woodsprings Suites off I-85 in Duncan until he finally surrendered shortly before 7:00 o'clock.
The man, who was apparently unarmed, has been taken to the Greenville County Detention Center.
The man has been identified as 42-year-old Robert Alan Beach.
One report says a bounty hunter who'd been trying to track him down for months was trying to serve the warrant on him.
