A suspect is in custody after police say he was wielding a knife and made death threats towards an officer. The Spartanburg Police Department to the area of Main and Church Streets just after 11AM, Friday.
Police the suspect was seen pointing a knife at a man before laying it on a fence and trying to flee the scene.
The suspect 32 year old, Ryker Quackenbush ran back to the knife and threatened to kill an officer who confronted him.
Quackenbush was then taken into custody. He's charged with resisting arrest, threatening an officer and disorderly conduct.
