An autopsy and toxicology tests are scheduled on the body of an apparent homeless man, who was discovered in front of the Post Office in midtown Greenville Wednesday afternoon.
It's less than a block from the Miracle Hill Shelter. First reports say the man appears to have died hours before he was found. The Coroner's Office has identified the man as 60-year-old Tyrus Hennon Grier.
He was reportedly sleeping in a grassy area along West Washington Street, when he died. His cause of death has not yet been determined. Police have not reported any signs of injury or foul play in Grier's death.
