A Low Country man whose body was pulled from the Waccamaw River over the weekend, has now been identified. The Georgetown County Coroner's Office identified the deceased as 59 year old, Paul Adkins of Pawley's Island.
The Horry County Dive Team worked with the U.S. Coast Guard and SCDNR in the recovery effort. Adkins body was pulled from the water Saturday evening.
The victim's boat was found drifting at the dock with the engine still running. This marks the 3rd drowning death in Georgetown County, just this month.
