Three people are dead and at least 8 others are injured after a mass weekend shooting on the North Carolina coastline.
Police in Southport says a suspect Nigel Edge pulled up to a waterfront bar, Saturday night and opened fire from a boat.
Edge fled up the Intercoastal Waterway, he was later located by the U.S. Coast Guard. Edge was taken into custody, Sunday. He's charged with 3 counts of murder and five counts each of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
Officials say they believe Edge acted alone and described the mass shooting as "highly premediated".
Edge is being held without bond in Brunswick County, North Carolina about 25 miles Southwest of Wilmington.
