A Midlands man faces possible prison time for blocking the entrance to an abortion clinic. 68 year old, Steven Clark Lefemine of West Columbia was found guilty, Monday of violating the Freedom to access a clinic entrance or what is called, the Federal Face Act.
The charges stems from an incident in November of 2022 when Lefemine sat in front of the Planned Parenthood Clinic in Columbia and blocked access to the entrance.
Clinic staff recorded the incident on video and said they were familiar with Lefemine because he frequently protested there. Lefemine has not yet been sentenced, he faces a maximum of 6 months in federal prison. He's expected to be sentenced at a later date.
