A military helicopter made what was described as a precautionary landing on a farm in North Carolina, Tuesday night. Officials say the chopper landed at Open Grounds farm in Beaufort which is on the North Carolina coast.
WITN TV in Eastern North Carolina reports that before the Sheriff's Office could respond the helicopter had been repaired and had taken off again. The helicopter is said to be from the Marine Air Station in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
Military officials have not said what exactly led to the unplanned landing and no further details have been released as of this time.
