A missing person investigation in Rutherford County North Carolina has turned into a murder case....
The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office says investigators searching for 28-year-old Jordan Wishon discovered human remains buried at a home on Pebblestone Lane in Rutherfordton early Saturday morning, June 27, 2026.
The remains were later identified as Wishon.
Authorities have charged 25-year-old Jaydakis Kashaune Hamilton of Rutherfordton with first-degree murder. Hamilton is already being held in the Polk County Detention Center on unrelated charges and has not yet been served with the murder warrant.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information has been released.
