The body of a missing Greenville County woman was found Sunday in her submerged vehicle in an Anderson County creek.
Authorities had been searching for 54-year-old Shelia Walker Thompson since last Tuesday. Just before 11AM Sunday, Anderson County dispatchers got a call regarding a vehicle in a creek near Alpen Road and West Church Road outside of Easley.
Thompson's body was found in her 2007 Kia Spectra. Troopers say she apparently lost control, ran off the road and into the three foot deep creek. That investigation continues.
