A mother and her two adult children are dead after a weekend shooting in North Carolina. Police responded to a home in Fayetteville about 120 miles southeast of Charlotte, just after 9:30 Sunday night.
Upon arrival officers found three woman who had been shot inside the home.The victims have been identified as 50 year old, Cheri Smith and her daughters 23 year old, Amanda Smith and 29 year old Erin Poole.
The mother and Poole were pronounced dead at the scene. Amanda Smith died after being taken to a local hospital.
The suspect 25 year old Nijyle Lewis was arrested in connection to the incident. He's described as an "associate" of Cheri Smith's. Investigators say Lewis was stabbed during the incident which led to the shooting. Lewis is charged with 3 counts of Murder.
