
More details have been released regarding the deputy involved shooting in the Upstate. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded along with the Department of Homeland Security to serve a warrant on a suspect, just before 3PM Monday afternoon.
Deputies located the suspect outside the Woodlawn Cemetery on Pine Knoll Drive in Greenville. The Sheriff's Office says a K-9 unit was brought in and the suspect stabbed the dog. Shots were then fired by deputies.
The suspect was injured in the shooting, The K-9 also suffered injuries in the stabbing. There's been no word on the condition of the dog or the suspect, as of this time.
The Sheriff's Office says the preliminary reports show that 3 deputies fired on the suspect. None of the deputies involved were injured.
