A motorcyclist is dead after a three vehicle crash in Anderson County. The fatal wreck happened around 5:45 Friday morning on Highway 81 near Masters Drive about 4 miles south of Anderson.
Master Trooper Brandon Bolt of the South Carolina Highway Patrol says, all 3 vehicles were traveling north on Highway 81, when the motorcyclist made an improper U-turn and was hit by the driver of a Chevy Tahoe. The rider was then thrown off the bike into the roadway and was hit by a Honda Civic. The drivers of the other two vehicles were not injured in the crash. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
