A motorcyclist is dead after a hitting a tree, Wednesday night. The wreck happened just after 1130 PM on Highway 178 near Highway 88 in Pendelton.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that the motorcyclist crashed their Harley-Davidson into a tree that was in the roadway. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, the identity of the deceased has not been released, as of the time of this report.
