A suspect is in custody after a murder over Easter weekend in Western North Carolina. The Macon County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a possible murder, Saturday.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they found the suspect. He's been identified as 53 year old, Christopher Allen Laws. He was detained at the scene and a short time later, the victim's body was found.
Laws is charged with murder and concealing death. The Sheriff's Office has not released any further details. They say, they will not be releasing the victim's identity, at this time out of respect for the family's privacy.
