It was mayhem in the mountains Wednesday when a suspect stole a police car and led law enforcement on a chase across Western North Carolina.
The Brevard Police Department says the suspect Ramae Foster punched a female officer in the face, stole her patrol vehicle and fled the area.
He then drive down I-26 and Henderson County deputies joined the search and were able to use a pit maneuver to stop the vehicle near Exit 53. After the chase came to an end, Foster reportedly continued to resist arrest but was taken into custody.
He's charged with resisting arrest, fleeing and eluding, possession of a stolen vehicle and various traffic violations.
