A multi-car crash late last week has now turned fatal. The Highway Patrol says the collision happened around 7:15 last Thursday morning on I-85 South near mile marker 48 in Greenville. Three vehicles were involved in the crash, one driver has since died and another was injured and taken to Greenville Memorial.
Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway says the driver of a Jeep SUV struck a Honda Sedan from the rear and caused the Honda to then strike a Nissan truck. The driver of the Nissan was not injured, the driver of the Jeep was injured. The driver of the Honda died from injuries suffered in the crash around 6 PM Tuesday evening. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
