A murder arrest has been made following the death of a woman at a Western North Carolina home. The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office responded for a wellness check at a home in Weaverville, Thursday.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, she's since been identified as Diane Lofland. A suspect, Eric Gentle was arrested at the home. He's charged with Lofland's murder and is being held without bond in Buncombe County. The incident remains under investigation.
