Murder suspect in custody after standoff in Union

A suspect in two separate shooting deaths in Union County has been arrested following a standoff.  Zadean Mack Hill, was taken into custody around 8:30PM Thursday, at a home on Church Street in Union.

His arrest came after a standoff with a Police SWAT Team and SLED. They used non-lethal means to subdue Hill when hours of negotiating his surrender were unsuccessful.

Hill is charged with the shooting deaths of 67-year-old Charles Crosby and 49-year-old Kiran Patel in separate incidents within 24 hours of each other.

Hill was taken to Union Medical Center for evaluation and is now being held at the Union County Detention Center.
