Naked North Carolina man runs from Cops in Georgia... Early this morning, Franklin County Georgia Deputies were dispatched to investigate a suspicious person report. Deputies encountered the individual, who then ran off through the woods towards interstate 85.
Backup arrived and later caught up with the naked suspect on I-85 near Neal Road. After a brief struggle, Jacob Southall of Gastonia, North Carolina, was taken into custody.
He was then transported to St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia for evaluation. The Sheriff’s Office says he's charged with obstruction of an officer and public indecency.
Officials say they are, quote, “Prioritizing Southall’s treatment for obvious mental illness.”
