A North Carolina teenager has been arrested after allegedly making threats of violence linked to mass shootings. Arrest warrants say 19 year old, Eric Byrd of Raleigh is facing charges linked to online threats of potential mass shootings.
Federal prosecutors say, Byrd is considered a violent extremist who is obsessed with mass shooters like Brenton Tarrant and Elliot Rodger.
The FBI and local police in Raleigh intervened after Byrd's parents raised concerns about his behavior and obsession with guns. Byrd reportedly bought an AK-47 last year.
