Four people were arrested and nearly 50 dogs were rescued from properties in Chester and Lancaster Counties in connection to a dogfighting ring, last week.
Authorities served warrants at three properties in those two counties, last Wednesday. 47 dogs were found, with many of them being malnourished and had injuries consistent with dog fighting.
Officials say paraphernalia from dog fighting was found on the properties including what looked to be a broken down fight pit. Four people were arrested in connection to the searches.
One of those four, Diara Charles Talford was also charged with trafficking and distribution of cocaine and a weapons violation.
Two others, Devin Mobley and Zion Hairston face charges for criminal conspiracy. Three of the four are charged with ill treatment of animals.
