Law enforcement officials in Western North Carolina say, nearly a dozen registered sex offenders have been found in violation of the registry. The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office, Asheville Police Department along with state and federal agents have been conducting compliance checks on registered sex offenders.
Officials say, 11 offenders have been identified after they violated the address verification and other requirements. Deputies say charges are forthcoming.
