Prosecutors say no charges will be filed after the death of a boy at a Western North Carolina wilderness camp, earlier this year.
As we previously reported, back in February 12 year old Clark Joseph Harman of New York died at Trails Carolina, a wilderness camp in Transylvania County for troubled kids.
Harman died less than 24 hours after arriving at the camp. His death was originally ruled as a homicide by asphyxiation. However, Prosecutor Andrew Murray says the investigation revealed there was no intent or reckless behavior involved in the incident, so charges are not warranted.
Since Harman's death state officials have forced Trails Carolina to close and multiple lawsuits have been filed against the camp. The property has since been put on the market for sale.
