A fatal shooting in the Upstate Monday has been ruled as self defense. The Laurens County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting on Barnyard Road in Gray Court.
Investigators discovered that the shooting happened after a man was behaving in a threatening manner towards the resident of the home. The suspect, David Dale Arrington was allegedly threatening the resident with a weapon.
Arrington was reportedly told to leave the property and refused. He continued towards the resident and tried to tackle him to the ground. Investigators say the resident feared for his life and fired in self-defense.
