A critically acclaimed gospel singer is singing the jailhouse blues after being arrested in the Upstate. Grammy Award Winner Le'Andria Johnson was arrested for public intoxication in downtown Greenville, Monday.
The Greenville Police Department says officers responded to the area of North Main and Laurens Streets, after a reported disturbance. When officers arrived they found Johnson walking down the street, screaming profanities at someone with her.
Police say Johnson looked to be visibly intoxicated and her speech was slurred. Johnson was taken into custody and was booked in the Greenville County Jail.
