An Upstate man will spend more than 4 decades in prison after pleading guilty to murder. As we previously reported, the Seneca Police Department responded to a shooting at Seneca Gardens Apartments in January of 2024.
Police arrived and found the victim Garrett White suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot. The next day, the suspect Jacquese Anderson Savage was located and arrested.
He was found hiding under a vehicle near the scene of the shooting. Court records show a gun and clothes worn during the shooting were found when Savage was arrested.
He's been sentenced to 45 years in prison and will not be eligible for early release.
