Police are now reporting that nearly a dozen guns were seized on the campus of South Carolina State University prior to weekend shootings that left one person dead and another critically injured.
Documents show that Campus Safety Officers seized 11 guns and arrested 7 people on Friday. None of those 7 are directly linked to the weekend shootings.
All of those suspects are charged with carrying weapons on school property, with some facing other charges. One suspect, Ny'Isiah Meyers, was allegedly found with 5 ounces of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Stephen Willingham was charged with possession of marijuana, and Edward Jaewon Green is charged with possession of a stolen gun.
