Nurses began a protest Monday morning over adverse working conditions at a Western North Carolina hospital. RN's at Asheville's Mission Hospital gathered around 8 AM to hold the rally.
The nurses were holding the rally to increase awareness regarding ongoing issues at the hospital. They claim the facility has been operating short staffed, creating safety issues.
They also allege that there've been incidents of workplace violence and that necessary equipment at the facility has been broken.
Recently, a nurse at Mission reported that over two dozen patients had to wait an entire day before being seen by a nurse.
