An Oconee County man faces multiple charges, including drug trafficking after a standoff. Monday, the Oconee County Sheriff's Office served an eviction notice on 30 year old, Devon James Turner of Westminster. While being served, Turner barricaded himself in the bathroom while armed with a .40 caliber pistol.
The Sheriff's Office says Turner fired the weapon while in the bathroom, damaging the ceiling and roof. Turner eventually surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.
A search warrant turned up enough meth to charge Turner with trafficking. He faces additional charges of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, resisting arrest, and malicious injury to property.
