A Westminster man is facing charges after a weekend fire at a business in Oconee County. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office responded to a business on Sandifer Boulevard Saturday morning on a report that a dumpster fire was set intentionally.
The suspect, 29 year old Austin Stephen Lawless was located on scene at the business. Evidence gathered in the investigation led to the suspect being charged with setting the fire.
The dumpster, fence and HVAC system at the business were all damaged in the incident. Lawless was booked into the Oconee County Jail Saturday afternoon and is charged with 2nd degree arson.
