An Oconee County man has initially been denied bond after being arrested on child sex crime charges. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says 20 year old, Andrew Carter Holbrooks was arrested last Friday on two counts of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Investigators say the charges came after Carter was allegedly involved in sexual activity with a child at a home near Walhalla, last month. The Sheriff's Office says due to its policy, it will not be releasing the age of the victim.
Holbrooks has been denied bond at this time and is set to go before a circuit court judge at a later date, regarding his bond.
