
A traffic stop resulted in drug trafficking charges in Oconee County, Monday night. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says a deputy stopped at a vehicle on Highway 59 near Seneca for having an out of state plate that was registered to another vehicle.
The suspect 47 year old, James Earl Robey of Seneca later reportedly told deputies that there were drugs in the vehicle. A subsequent search uncovered nearly half an ounce of meth.
Robey is charged with trafficking meth and was also ticketed for driving an unregistered vehicle.
