
A Westminster man is facing gun and drug charges after a traffic stop there, Wednesday. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office initiated a traffic stop on Highway 24 near West-Oak High School, yesterday afternoon.
The Sheriff's Office says the suspect 28 year old, Steven Lee Hightower told the deputy there was marijuana in the vehicle. A further search of the vehicle uncovered a gun, ammo and drug paraphernalia.
Hightower was then reportedly found with meth and fentanyl on his person during the arrest. He's charged with trafficking meth, possession of fentanyl and a weapons violation.
