An Oconee County woman is charged with Attempted Murder after a Sunday evening incident near Oakway. In addition to the attempted murder charge, 41 year old Wanda Maria Harvey has also been charged with one count of Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime. She was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center Sunday night.
Harvey is accused of stabbing a back seat passenger of a 2019 Dodge Charger in which she was also a passenger with two others. The victim was cut on the neck, with a knife, which severed an artery. The victim was airlifted to an area hospital for further treatment.
Authorities are not disclosing the name of the victim. Harvey remains in jail on a combined $120,000 surety bond. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
