The controversial Flock Camera system came in useful after a robbery at a gas station near Westminster over the weekend. The Westminster Police Department and Oconee County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported armed robbery, at the Power Trac store on Long Creek Highway.
Officials say, the suspect left with cash from the register. Flock cameras were able to identify the vehicle and the suspect as 32 year old, Garrett Scott Williams. He was later located in Greenville County and was taken into custody.
Williams is charged with armed robbery, pointing and presenting and a weapons violation. Officials say the flock cameras were instrumental in making the arrest.
