One person is dead after a single vehicle crash in the Upstate. The fatal wreck happened around 1230 Tuesday afternoon on Highway 72 just over 2 miles west of Greenwood.
Master Trooper Brandon Bolt of the South Carolina Highway patrol reports that the driver of a Ford truck was traveling westbound on Highway 72, when they lost control.
The truck crossed the centerline , went through the median and went off the left side of the roadway striking a group of trees. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released. The crash remains under investigation.
