An investigation is ongoing after a deadly collision just off of I-85 southbound in Anderson County, early Wednesday morning. Officials say the driver of a 2010 Honda Accord drifted off of the southbound lane and rear ended a 2020 a tractor trailer.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that the tractor trailer was illegally parked on the left side of the entrance ramp to rest stop at the 23 mile maker on the southbound side.
The driver of the Honda died at the scene. The name of the victim has not yet been released. That collision remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
