A fatal shooting Christmas Eve is under investigation by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies say the victim, 24 year old Markel Holland of Anderson, was shot around 1am at Simon’s Bar and Grill on Clemson Boulevard in Anderson.
Officials believe Holland and another man were involved in an altercation which led to gunfire. Holland was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office said His death has been ruled a homicide, but no arrests have been made as of the time of this report.
