It was mayhem in the Mountains of Western North Carolina as a man was fatally shot there, over the weekend. The Yancey County Sheriff's Office responded Friday Night to a reported shooting on Prices Creek Road, near Burnsville.
Upon arrival, a man was found dead after being shot. The victim has been identified as Roy Elkins.
A suspect, Grant Blankenship has been arrested in connection to the shooting. He's charged with voluntary manslaughter.
