One person is dead and two others are injured following a 3 car collision. The crash happened around 7:30 Wednesday morning, on Highway 81 near old Anderson Road, a few miles from Greenville.

The Highway Patrol says the driver of a Ford Pickup tried to pass A BMW and collided head on with the driver of a Nissan SUV, then side swiped the BMW. The driver of the Ford truck and the BMW were both injured and were taken to Greenville Memorial, the driver of the Nissan died at the scene of the wreck. The Highway Patrol says they are being assisted by the MAIT team in the investigation.
